Susan Johnson Burns
Susan Johnson Burns, 65, of Pine Bluff passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home. She was born April 22, 1952 in Drew County, to the late Troy Thomas Johnson and Margaret Graves Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Troy Johnson and a sister-in-law, Iris Johnson.
Susan was a Christian, a member of Summit Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and was retired from the Pine Bluff Commercial after 33 years of service in sales and advertising. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Ronald Burns of Pinebergen; two daughters, Jami (Philip) Grove of Cherokee Village and Shannon Burns of Dumas; two grandsons, Peyton Grove and Drew Grove of Cherokee Village; one brother, Billy Wayne (Diann) Johnson of Monticello; two nephews, Jason (Rose) Johnson of San Marcos, Texas and J.T. Johnson of Shreveport, La.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy (Aleta) Burns of Bastrop and Jimmy (Beverly) Burns of Hector; her mother-in-law, Edna Burns; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial was in Rash Cemetery. Visitation was from 2-3 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Susan G.
