Nellie Ivon Douglas Chambers

Nellie Ivon Douglas Chambers, 87, of Monticello died Monday, February 4, 2019 at her home. She was born December 5, 1931 in Mountain Home to the late Jesse Douglas and Mary Eva Cunningham Douglas Brands.
In addition to her parents and husband, D.W. Chambers, she was also preceded in death by a son, James Roderic Dye Sr.; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy (James) Trantham and Sue Taylor, both of Monticello, Karan Mathis of Vilonia and Jane (John) Coleman of Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Janet Dye of Pangburn; nine grandchildren, Greg Land, Lisa Sheppherd, Peyton Dockery, Sydni Mathis, Josh Coleman, Jacob Coleman, Jimmy Dye, John Dye and Shawn Dye; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
