Larry Clark Tucker
Larry Clark Tucker, 75, of Wilmar went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Chapel Woods Nursing Center with his family by his side. Larry was born November 29, 1943 in Monticello to the late Otis and Bama Lee Tucker.
He married Beatrice (Bea) Lester on August 12, 1978 in Crowell, Texas. He was a Christian and loved the Lord; he was a member of Wilmar Baptist Church, where he served on several different committees. Larry loved his church family—and especially the children in the church. He always made sure he had bubble gum for each of them on Sunday mornings.
Larry was a dedicated employee of P & W Concrete and Select Concrete for approximately 30 years. His passion was operating heavy equipment. He was also a member of Local Union 178 of Fort Worth, Texas.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bowling was another hobby he enjoyed.
In addition to his parents, Otis and Bama Tucker, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roland Tucker, Dennis Tucker and Mitchell Tucker; two sisters, Hazel Heroman and Maurene McKinzie; and his father-in-law, Manuel Lester of Hurley, Va.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Beatrice (Bea) Lester Tucker of Wilmar; one son, Jeffrey Clark (Sheena) Tucker of Wilmar; one daughter, Debbie Tenorio of Wilmar; three grandchildren, Amanda Kaylee (Jacob) Bone, Jeremy Clark Tucker and fiancé Brooke Lampkin and Kristiana Marie Tenorio; one great-grandson, Jace Michael Bone, who was the apple of his eye; one brother, Richard (Mary) Tucker of Monticello; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Tucker of Monticello, and Judy Counts and Glena Justice, both of Hurley; his mother-in-law, Virginia Lester of Hurley; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, whom he loved dearly; and a special caregiver, Tywana Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
