The Advance-Monticellonian received an email at 9:17 a.m. today (Monday) from the 10th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney's office confirming several details in the case of Stephanie Hill Rogers which had widely been publicized on the Internet and on social media but were not yet confirmed.
The affidavit for warrant of arrest stated that Rogers did indeed plan to kill 2018 mayoral candidate Joe Rogers and his ex-wife, Debbie Rogers. It is simply the report of Arkansas State Police Special Agent and Monticello Police Department Detective Kenny Cox—and has NOT been reviewed by the prosecutor at this time.

The Advance-Monticellonian has learned that Stephanie Hill Rogers, wife of former Monticello mayor and 2018 mayoral candidate Joe Rogers, was arrested today at 3 p.m. by the Monticello Police Department on one count of conspiracy to commit capital murder and one count of criminal solicitation to commit capital curder.
She is currently being held in the Drew County Detention Facility. No bond amount has been set as of yet, and the date of her first court appearance is to be determined.
